Composition of nylon masterbatch ‌ :


Pigment or dye: This is the key ingredient that provides color and determines the color of the masterbatch. The selected pigment or dye must have good thermal stability, light resistance and chemical stability to ensure the color during the processing of nylon and subsequent use


Durability and stability, not easy to occur fading, discoloration and other phenomena. For example, some high-performance organic pigments and dyes can withstand high temperature processing conditions such as nylon spinning and weaving, while maintaining bright colors in the case of long-term light and exposure to chemicals.


Carrier: The main role of the carrier is to carry and disperse the pigment or dye. For polyamide masterbatch, the commonly used carrier is generally a high polymer with good compatibility with polyamide, such as a specific grade of polyamide resin. This can ensure that the color masterbatch can be evenly dispersed when mixed with the nylon raw materials, so that the pigment or dye can be evenly distributed on the nylon fiber to ensure the uniformity of dyeing.


Additives: There are various types of additives, including dispersants, stabilizers, antioxidants, etc. Dispersant can help the pigment or dye to disperse better in the carrier, prevent agglomeration, improve the dispersion and processing performance of the masterbatch; Stabilizers can enhance color


The stability of the masterbatch during storage and use to prevent deterioration or degradation of its performance; Antioxidants can reduce the oxidation reaction of the masterbatch under high temperature and other conditions, and extend its service life.


Production process of nylon masterbatch ‌ :


Pigment or dye selection and pretreatment: according to the required color and performance requirements, select the appropriate pigment or dye, and pretreat it, such as grinding, dispersion, etc., to improve the dispersion and stability of the pigment or dye.


Preparation of the carrier: the selected carrier resin is heated and melted so that it becomes a molten state to prepare for subsequent mixing with pigments or dyes.


Mixing and dispersion: the pre-treated pigment or dye is added to the molten carrier, and the pigment or dye is fully mixed and dispersed through high-speed stirring, cutting, etc., so that the pigment or dye is evenly dispersed in the carrier to form a preliminary color masterbatch mixture.


Extrusion granulation: the mixed and dispersed color masterbatch mixture is extruded through the extruder, further refined and homogenized in the extrusion process, and then the extruded material is cut into granular shape by the granulation equipment to obtain the nylon color masterbatch product.


Quality testing and packaging: Quality testing of the produced polyamide masterbatch, including color, coloring power, dispersion, thermal stability and other indicators, to ensure compliance with quality standards. The qualified polyamide masterbatch is packaged, usually in sealed packaging to prevent moisture, contamination and oxidation.
